SESAME ENGLISH : ESL FOR CHILDREN : WEATHER & SEASONS
This program introduces students to adjectives and vocabulary related to the beach, shows how to politely ask for things and teaches basic English expressions and sentence structures.
Episodes include:
To the Beach! -- It is a hot day, and Tingo wants to go to the beach to cool off like everyone else! In this delightful program, children learn to use expressions with adjectives, such as "I like it cold." and "It is very cold." Familiar phrases like "Come on!" and "Let's..." are reviewed while young learners discover new vocabulary associated with the beach, including "sea," "sun" and "sunglasses." Includes Grover presenting the letter "S."
Tingo's Cold -- Children are introduced to the opposite actions of "opening" and "closing" a door as Niki tries to help Tingo feel better when he is sick. Kids learn the difference between "cold" as a noun and as an adjective, and discover new words such as "tissue," "tea" and "sick." Young learners practice asking for something using the phrase "Would you..." while also reviewing the phrases "Could you..." and "Thank you." Includes the Alphabet Song and the number "14!"
